Stress and anxiety happen when challenges in life seem larger than our ability to cope with them. Changes in life such as divorce, new family members, career changes, moves, major illnesses, death, and global pandemics can all lead to stress and anxiety. Therapy can help you process these changes and manage your stress.

Sometimes anxiety doesn't happen because of one particular change or event. Sometimes it builds up over time until the demands on us exceed what we can handle on our own. Work stress, the mental load that often comes with parenting, and caregiving are some examples of slow building stress. For others, anxiety has walked beside them their whole life.

I used evidenced based strategies to help my clients cope with their stress and anxiety. With each client I blend strategies from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Solution Focused Therapy and a variety of other psychological theories and practices. The result is a plan that recognizes your unique history, needs, and preferences and designed to move you towards your goals.
