What is DBT?

DBT is an evidenced based therapeutic approach designed for managing intense emotions and building healthy relationships. It's largely a skill based therapeutic approach that helps individuals develop distress tolerance skills, emotional regulation skills, and healthier interpersonal interactions. Along the way, I help my clients work through deeper issues and build a life worth living.

Like most therapists, I blend a variety of therapeutic approaches to meet each client's individual needs. I provide a modified DBT practice in which all treatment is provided in our individual sessions rather than requiring both individual and group sessions as is the case with traditional DBT.
